Flintlock pistol with battery lock

Barrel: Round barrel; at the top a flat band runs from the butt to the front sight bead. On both sides of the lock plate is a flat, lengthwise rib. On the front part of the barrel is an elongated brass front sight bead. The originally browned barrel features gilded arabesque low-relief decoration at the sight bead and on the lock plate, and bears the signature: LA CHAISE A PARIS. On the underside of the barrel is an impressed mark: NP. Lock: Flint battery lock with flat lock plate and cock. The pan with pan saddle has facets. Engraving of military attributes, stippling, and arabesques. The lock bears the signature: LA CHAISE A PARIS. Wood: Walnut; carving of leaf motifs behind the ramrod holder and at the butt of the barrel.
