Flintlock pistol with two barrels and battery lock

Barrels: The originally browned barrels lie side by side and are connected by a slightly hollow-profiled long band, upon which is an elongated brass front sight bead. At the butt of the barrel is a wide sight groove. At the sight bead and on the lock plate are decorations of originally gilded geometric motifs and rocaille work. The long connecting strip of the two barrels bears the signature: BLANCHAR A PARIS. On the underside of the barrels are the impressed marks: C, 2, and GH.... and below that TAYNE. Locks: Two flint battery locks with flat lock plates and cocks. The lock plate has a recess on the rear part. The pan with facets and pan saddle. The lock plates are engraved with military trophies (flags, standards, pikes, cannons, and drums) and bear the signature: BLANCHAR and below that A PARIS. Wood: Walnut; carving in the form of acanthus leaf motifs at the butt of the barrel and at the front of the trigger guard.
