Flintlock pistol

The lock is simply engraved with leafy vines, fantastic animals, and a signature. A rib runs over the barrel almost to the breech; the rib and the rear of the barrel are engraved, and the rib is stamped with the Utrecht mark and underneath with a mark resembling an arrow; engraved with the same signature as the lock; the barrel's lock is pivoting. The front of the stock is fitted with a cowhorn cap; the stock is carved with symmetrical foliage. The silver furniture consists of two ramrod pipes of unequal length, a screwplate consisting of symmetrical leafy vines extending into fantastic animals on either side of a grotesque mask, a trigger guard chased with a Classical warrior, a thumbplate consisting of an unworked oval shield framed by openwork leafy vines with a grotesque mask below and above and a crown on top, and a relief-carved butt plate with the mask of a bearded man; the ramrod is fitted with a cowhorn cap.
