About this work
Double-barrel flintlock pistol or box pistol. The pistol has two locks mounted on the left and right sides operated by the same trigger: the left for the lower barrel and the right for the upper barrel; both locks are engraved with leafy vines; the right lock bears a signature STARBUS, the left lock AMSTERDAM. The two barrels are mounted one above the other. The stock has simple carving and the ramrod on the left. The iron furniture includes, among other things, a butt cap engraved with arabesques and a cap with a ball on top.
