About this work

Headgear of black leather bol, flap, with yellow metal rim. Yellow metal sun, rosettes, chain (from shako M.1865: see small links), white linen base (later painted green). Yellow metal corners, orange wool cockade, piping. Interior: brown leather sweatband, linen lining.
