About this work

Flintlock pistol, part of a pair, with an iron smooth octagonal barrel. Flat lock plate with engraved armorial trophy, upright flint and iron cock. The stock is wooden and features figures of a cannon, drums and flags inlaid with silver wire on the sides. The neck of the stock is ribbed. A folding bayonet is attached under the barrel via a hinge at the end of the barrel. No trigger guard; a straight folding iron trigger under the lock plate.
