About this work

Flintlock pistol, part of a pair, with an iron smooth octagonal barrel. Flat lock plate with engraved armorial trophy, upright flint and iron cock. The stock is of wood and has on the sides figures inlaid with silver wire of a cannon, drums, and flags. The stock neck is ribbed. Under the barrel a folding bayonet attached by a hinge to the end of the barrel. No trigger guard, a straight folding iron trigger under the lock plate.
