About this work
Yellow-cream colored flag cloth trimmed with gold fringe, on a long pole. On the front a crowned ornate W, with the inscription below: REGIMENT, HUSSARS NO 8; along the sides green branches with orange berries. On the parade side the crowned coat of arms of the kingdom, with a ribbon bearing the motto: JE MAINTIENDRAI, held by two crowned facing lions; this whole is surrounded by two upward-bent laurel branches, which are held together at the bottom by a pink bow; along the sides green branches with orange berries.
