About this work

Silver medal. Obverse: Minerva with shield and spear leaning on a pedestal, upon which lies a Bible with a burning lamp, in a large hall amidst various scientific attributes; beside her Hercules tramples a four-headed dragon with a bundle of arrows; through a bow window the Dom Tower is visible within an inscription; margin: inscription. Reverse: a cloth with an inscription between a coat of arms surrounded by two olive branches and a seated river god with a rudder and jug, from which a duck drinks within an inscription.
