About this work
Photo album in black leather cover. The album is fitted with ornate mounts on the front and back, the locks are missing. The flyleaves have a feather motif. The album contains 30 mount leaves with gilded edges. Inside, 24 cartes-de-visite in passe-partouts. Six passe-partouts are empty, and for three of them a name is mentioned. These are photographs of members of (noble) French families such as Morin Pons, De Baillac, Rayneval, Rameau, Cibiel and Quinette, and of several French generals and one Prussian.
