Photo album of Mr. Brams, Master Forester of Queen Wilhelmina at the Royal Forestry Het Loo

Photo album in brown leather binding with 26 cardboard leaves and 281 pasted photographs. The edges of the leaves appear to have been trimmed and re-bound. Almost all leaves have a similar layout: four larger photographs are pasted around a small round, diamond-shaped, or cut-out print. The album belonged to Mr. Brams, the Chief Forester who headed the Royal Forestry Department Het Loo during the reign of Queen Wilhelmina and was responsible for managing the royal estate. The album shows equestrian scenes on and around the forestry department: riders, horses, hunting dogs, forests, heathlands, country roads, farms, and country houses. Frequently, moments are captured where a group of riders dismounts and enjoys a snack and a drink in the open nature. There are also several photographs of four-in-hand driving and steeplechase races on an unidentified racecourse.
