About this work

Photo album in red binding, the spine and corners made of leather and decorated with gold-colored lines. The endpapers are of embossed paper. The album contains 29 leaves with 99 prints, of which 2 (recto/verso on a cardboard) were found loose in the album. These are images made in Brussels, Antwerp, Cologne, Königswinter, Wiesbaden, Frankfurt am Main and Norway. Each section is preceded by a page with the city name. These are mainly photographs of buildings, streets, squares, monuments, churches, gates and, regarding the Norwegian images, landscapes and costumes. Given the sticker of the Amsterdam firm Lagranche & Co. on the front endpaper, the compiler of the album may have been a Dutchman.
