The Adoration of the Shepherds

At the foot of a classical building the shepherds worship the Christ Child, held by Mary, who sits on the ground. To the left of the Child, also sitting, Joseph with his staff. In the background a castle on a rock above which the star that leads the Wise Men from the East to the birth of Christ. Next to the classical columns two men descending a staircase with behind them a statue of a naked figure on a high column. Below the subject four Latin verses in two columns.
