About this work
The priest administers the sacrament of the dying to the person dying in bed. Around the bed kneel onlookers, to the left a table with burning candles. Print no. 2 from the series of 16 depictions of The Miracle of Amsterdam, based on the events of March 15, 1345. Below the depiction two six-line verses in Latin and Dutch.
