About this work
The interior of a temple. The Christ child is placed on a table before the high priest. Joseph and Mary stand before the table. Next to Mary on the ground, a basket with two doves as an offering. The print has a Latin Bible quotation as an inscription and is the seventh print of a twelve-part series on the birth and early years of Christ.
