About this work

The guests of the king are seated at a long table for the wedding feast. They are people from the street: the woman in the center foreground has crutches beside her. The king orders on the left to bind the man without wedding clothing hand and foot and throw him into the outer darkness. Below the image is a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Matthew 22:11. This print is part of an album.
