About this work

In a dark sleeping chamber lies Aristodemus prince of Cuma in bed, while he is betrayed by his companion Xenocrite, who has set his subjects against him. She holds a torch in her hand, the two soldiers carry stabbing weapons. Top right: fol. 577. Print used in a book by Lambert van den Bos with in total twenty prints by Arnold Houbraken.
