Allegorical representation of the coronation of Joseph I, German Emperor, as King of Hungary in 1687. On a pedestal sit three men holding up a medallion with the portrait of Leopold I, Emperor of Germany and father of Joseph I. Leopold I holds a scepter and orb in his hands and is crowned with a laurel wreath by Victoria. On the other pedestal, putti carry the medallion with the portrait of Joseph I. He also holds the scepter and orb in his hands and is crowned by Eternity. In the middle, a putto carries the coat of arms of Hungary. On the left stands Cybele with the mural crown on her head and one of her lions beside her, while she points the city maiden of Budapest to Leopold I. On the right, Mercury points with the caduceus to the portrait of Joseph I. In the background, a landscape with an army and the city of Budapest.
