About this work
Allegorical representation with figures from the Old Testament. On the left Adam and Eve, Isaac and Abraham and Noah. On the right Moses and Aaron and King David. Christ sits enthroned on a cloud in heaven, surrounded by the symbols of the four evangelists. Above his head burns the flame of religious zeal. He tramples Death (as a skeleton). In heaven a tetragram as a symbol of God the Father.
