About this work
The personification of Favor (Favor) rewards every virtuous man. In her hands a heart with a shovel (love for the worker) and a heart with a scepter (love for the ruler). In the background, the man who visits the sick is rewarded with a bag of money, while the basket weavers are rewarded by the king with privileges. The print has a Dutch, Latin and French inscription and is part of a twelve-part series with the subject of the degeneration of the Catholic clergy and the causes of the uprising and the Iconoclasm.
