Ladder of Life

The Ladder of Life of the woman with nine steps. On every step stands a woman and on the step the corresponding age. To the left the young years from zero to fifty, to the right old age from fifty to one hundred. In the middle of the ladder in an oval border of fruits the creation of Eve. Below that in a cartouche the mountain Golgotha with the three crosses, beside it sits a child with a burning lamp and death with an hourglass. Under the scene six four-line verses in Dutch.
