Summer landscape with summer scenes. August is the harvest month. Central is the harvesting of grain. Harvest wagons bring the grain to the barn. Some farmers are just taking their rest break. In the background a castle is besieged. In the middle top the zodiac sign Virgo. In this series of the twelve months each month is depicted with the human activities typical for it, its climatic characteristics and its zodiac sign.
