About this work

Winter landscape with winter scenes. December is the slaughter month. Central is the slaughtering of pigs, after which the animals are smoked and pickled. In the background the livestock is being slaughtered. In the middle top the zodiac sign Capricorn. In this series of the twelve months each month is depicted with the human activities typical for it, its climatic characteristics and its zodiac sign.
