About this work
The prophet Elisha comes to eat with a married couple from the city of Shunem. Later in the evening, the woman comes to him. As a reward for her hospitality, he blesses her and prophesies that she will become pregnant with a son within a year. The print has a Latin inscription and is part of a series on Elisha and the Shunammite woman.
