About this work
In the background, Anna earns her money by spinning and weaving for her clients. In addition to her wages, she is rewarded with a young goat to take home. Anna stands with the goat under her arm before her blind husband Tobit, who thinks she has stolen it. On the right in the background, Tobit prays to God. Below the image, a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Tobit 2.
