About this work

In the background on the left, Tobit buries the body of the murdered man whom Tobias found on the street. After the burial, Tobit falls asleep against the wall of his house. One of the birds in the nest above his head drops bird droppings on Tobit's eyes, causing him to go blind. Below the image is a Latin reference to the Bible text in Tobit 2:10. This print is part of an album.
