About this work
The prophet Elisha is a guest at the home of a couple in Shunem. The woman has specially prepared a room for Elisha and his servant Gehazi. As a reward for her hospitality, he promises her in the foreground that she and her old husband will have a son in a year. Gehazi stands between the woman and Elisha. Below the depiction a Latin reference to the Biblical text in 2 Kings 4:8. This print is part of an album.
