About this work
At the city gates of Jerusalem, Absalom embraces an Israelite. Thus he greeted everyone from Israel who came to ask for a judgment from the king, and in this way he won over the people of Israel. Below the image, a reference in Latin to the biblical text in 2 Samuel 15.
