About this work
At the city gates of Jerusalem, Absalom embraces an Israelite. Thus he greeted everyone from Israel who came to the king for a judgment, and in this way he won over the people of Israel. Below the image, a reference in Latin to the biblical text in 2 Samuel 15:2.
