About this work

Eliezer, the servant of Abraham, meets Rebekah at the well. She offers him a drink from her jug. On the right, the camels and the retinue of Eliezer. On the left, the women from the city come to draw water at the fountain. The fountain is crowned by a river god. Below the image, a reference in Latin to the Biblical text in Genesis 24.
