About this work
Eliezer, the servant of Abraham, meets Rebekah at the well. She lets him drink from her jug. To the right are the camels and Eliezer's retinue. To the left, women from the city come to draw water at the fountain. The fountain is crowned by a river god. Below the image is a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Genesis 24.
