About this work

Melchizedek, the high priest and king of Salem (Jerusalem), gives Abraham bread and a jug of wine. Abraham, clad in armor with a helmet on his head, receives the bread, while his soldiers stand behind him. Behind Melchizedek stands his army. Below the image is an explanatory text in Latin and an incorrect reference to a biblical text in Genesis 18.
