About this work

Melchisedek, the high priest and king of Salem (Jerusalem), gives bread and a jug of wine to Abraham. Abraham, dressed in armour and with a helmet on his head, accepts the bread, while his soldiers stand behind him. Behind Melchisedek stands his army. Below the image an explanatory text in Latin and an incorrect reference to a Bible text in Gen. 18. This print is part of an album.
