About this work
Melchizedek, the high priest and king of Salem (Jerusalem), gives Abraham bread and a jug of wine. Abraham, clad in armor and wearing a helmet, receives the bread, while his soldiers stand behind him. Behind Melchizedek stands his army. Below the image, a reference in Latin to the Biblical text in Genesis 14. This print is part of an album.
