About this work
St. Peter of Kalmpthout, dressed in Premonstratensian clothing, an axe in one hand, a Bible in the other hand. An angel on the clouds holds a palm branch and crowns him with a laurel wreath. Next to Peter of Kalmpthout stands the model of a church on a pedestal. On the pedestal two reliefs, which depict his martyrdom. At the bottom on the pedestal a four-line text in Latin. Copy after a print by Michel Natalis from the series of saints.
