About this work
The Augustinian bishop Frigdianus of Lucca is crowned by an angel with a laurel wreath. In his hand, he holds a palm branch, and behind him lie his mitre and bishop's staff on a pedestal. On the pedestal, it is shown how the bishop, like Moses, can make water flow from a rock. At the bottom, his name and a six-line inscription about his life in Latin.
