About this work
Monument for Jan Nieuwenhuyzen founded by De Maatschappij tot Nut van t' Algemeen. In the middle, an inverted torch, a snake biting its own tail as an eternity symbol and a burning torch. At the bottom in the margin, the front and back of a commemorative medal, which was made on the occasion of the death of Nieuwenhuyzen.
