About this work
Memorial pillar for Jan Nieuwenhuyzen. In the center, an inverted torch, a snake biting its own tail as a symbol of eternity, and a burning torch. At the bottom, the front and back of a commemorative medal, which was produced on the occasion of Nieuwenhuyzen's death.
