About this work

Festive procession in the evening of the Orangist workers of the shipyard of the Dutch East India Company, in the months of October, November, and December 1787. A long procession winds across the Kattenburgerplein; in the background, 's Lands Zeemagazijn; to the left, the Kattenburgerbrug. The workers carry axes and other tools, boards with the name of Prince William V, flags, insignia and symbols, and lanterns with candles.
