About this work

Correction (Castigatio) is about to strike the bride (Sponsa) with her whip. The bride holds her arms protectively around her body. Piety (Timor Dei) looks on. On the left in the background Justice (Justitia) approaches. In the margin a four-line inscription, in two columns, in Latin.
