About this work

The bridegroom (Christ) embraces his kneeling bride (Sponsa) before a rose arch in a garden. The female personifications of various virtues, including Faith (Fides), Hope (Spes) and Love (Charitas), look on. In the margin a four-line inscription, in two columns, in Latin.
