About this work

Christ and his bride (Sponsa) sit leaning against each other under a rose arch in a garden. Piety (Timor Dei) takes the bride by the arm. The female personifications of various virtues look on. On the left in the background, the bride is seen being carried to heaven by angels. In the margin a four-line inscription, in two columns, in Latin.
