About this work

The personifications of Faith and Innocence protect a young man against the arrows which Envy directs at him. To the right in the background the same young man meets the Christian Faith. Below the image is a text in Latin, numbered in the left margin: 5. The print is part of a series of allegorical prints on the life of man.
