About this work

Scaffold with fireworks set off on behalf of the States of Holland and West Friesland on the Hofvijver in The Hague for the celebration of the Peace of Utrecht, June 14, 1713. In the center the Temple of Janus crowned by the Dutch Maiden with a liberty cap in the Dutch Garden. The Temple surrounded by seated figures of Faith, Liberty, Commerce, Science and the Arts. At the bottom the title and explanation of the numbers 1-14 in Dutch and French.
