About this work

Allegory on the second centenary of the Reformation in an architectural border, decorated with allegorical figures and portrait medallions of Luther and Hus. Allegorical depiction with the reformers Luther and Melanthon at an altar, in the distance lies St. Peter's Church. In the sky flies an angel with burning torch, next to her Jupiter has appeared with lightning bolts. Below three historical depictions in medallion, provided with explanatory texts.
