About this work

Allegory on the second centenary of the Reformation in an architectural frame, decorated with allegorical figures and portrait medallions of Luther and Hus. Allegorical representation with the reformers Luther and Melanthon at an altar, in the distance lies St. Peter's Church. In the sky an angel flies with a burning torch, next to her Jupiter appears with lightning bolts. Below three historical scenes in medallions, provided with explanatory texts.
