About this work
A richly dressed woman gives a heart to a young man, who looks in through the window on the left, while she hands a pair of pince-nez glasses to an old man with her left hand. This gesture refers to the proverb 'to put glasses on someone's nose', meaning to deceive someone. Below the image a German verse. Third print from an unknown print series.
