Shoemaker in front of his house, sitting at his workbench. Instead of working he drinks a pint of beer. His apprentices, who make shoes, make a racket. The wife of the shoemaker stands scolding him. His daughter sits already shouting on a fence. In the background peasants dance to the music of a bagpiper. With superscript of one line in Latin and subscript of 2 columns of each 4 lines in French and Dutch.
