About this work

Allegory on the majority of Prince William V on March 8, 1766. Centrally the prince seated on his throne; on the right Hercules defeats the serpents, on the left the assembled seven virtues. Above the throne flies Fame and reveals to seven cherubins a large laurel wreath; on the right Benevolence bestows riches. In the foreground the Dutch Lion. Numbered at the top: VII.
