About this work

Ceremony of the laying of the foundation stone for the railway bridge in Zutphen, performed by King William III on October 22, 1861. The group is under a kind of canopy decorated with garlands and coats of arms; centrally, a scaffold with the foundation stone; to the left of it, the King signs a document to be embedded with the foundation stone. The print includes a separate sheet with the names of the attendees.
